The Kerttu pattern includes two variations: a sun dress with a tie detail at front, and a simple high-waist skirt. Both variations come with a tiered maxi-length hem and an elastic waist. The dress has a deep V-neck, and a keyhole detail at front. The rounded back neckline is gathered with the spaghetti shoulder straps. You can adjust the length of the straps through the opening in the back lining.
Materials & supplies
- Dress: Fusible interfacing, 80 cm (7/8 yd)
- Skirt: Fusible interfacing, 30 cm (3/8 yd)
- Dress: 1 cm (3/8”) cord for shoulder straps, 120 cm (1 3/8 yd)
- 2.5 cm (1”) elastic, your waist circumference

You can choose a low-drape fabric, for example a light cotton or linen, or opt for a more drapey fabric, such as a medium weight rayon challis or similar. Use a pre-made cord for the spaghetti shoulder straps, or sew them from your main fabric.
