The Folding tote is a self-contained bag, perfect for keeping stashed in your trunk or purse. It is a beginner pattern with 2 pattern pieces, step-by-step instructions, a video tutorial, and straight lines. The bag folds into a pocket to keep it contained when not in use.
This BEGINNER LEVEL sewing pattern has Beginner-friendly, illustrated instructions and a step-by-step video tutorial to walk you through each step. Throughout this pattern, you will learn how to make a simple pocket, create straps, use webbing, make a double-folded hem.

Sizing Details:
MEDIUM: The finished measurements for this bag are 17"(43.2cm) wide by 15"(38cm) tall. When folded up it will be 6"(15.25cm) wide by 5"(12.7 cm) tall.
LARGE: The finished measurements for this bag are 24"(61cm) wide by 18.5"(47 cm) tall. When folded up it will be 8"(20.3cm) wide by 6"(15.2cm) tall.
Suitable Fabrics:
This pattern was designed for light to mid-heavy-weight woven fabrics such as linen, canvas, cotton poplin, and denim. Mid-Heavy weight fabrics are nice for their durability, but lightweight to mid-weight fabrics are recommended for a beginner as heavy-weight canvas or denim can be harder for some machines to sew. Choosing to purchase webbing for the straps will make the pattern even simpler for a complete beginner.
